Advocacy & Education - Overview

  • Gracier Advocacy & Education provides educational advocacy support and guidance for families navigating school systems and special education processes. Services are designed to help caregivers understand information, prepare thoughtfully, and participate in educational decision-making with clarity and confidence.

Support is educational and consultative in nature. It is not legal representation and does not replace legal counsel.

  • Gracier Advocacy & Education is informed by both professional experience and lived perspective.

I am a wife and mother, and my family has longstanding ties to military service. I have lived and worked in Kitsap County for over a decade and have served students and families across multiple school districts in the region.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in dual elementary and special education, as well as a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. My professional background includes work in public education, behavioral support, and related service settings. I am also a licensed CBT with extensive training in behavior and support strategies.

Prior experience in healthcare, community organizations, and youth-focused environments has further shaped my understanding of how systems intersect with family needs.

Through years of professional practice, I have seen how complex educational systems can be difficult for families to navigate without clear information and support. Advocacy and education services are offered to help families better understand processes, ask informed questions, and participate meaningfully in educational decision-making.

  • Support may include:

    • Clarifying special education processes and terminology

    • Reviewing educational documents for understanding

    • Preparing families for school meetings and follow-up

    • Supporting informed and professional communication

    • Providing parent education and coaching

Support focuses on preparation and understanding, not decision-making on behalf of families.

  • Gracier Advocacy & Education does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or guarantees of outcomes. Educational decisions remain the responsibility of the family and the educational team.

Clear boundaries ensure ethical, appropriate, and sustainable support.
